A few days in Yorkshire, England

We stayed in an Airbnb in Sheriff Hutton and had an amazing few days.

Day 1 - A trip to Yorkshire Lavender farm, situated in the rolling hills, this is a lovely place to spend an hour or two.  Unfortunately the cafe wasn't open so a quick wander around the gardens with the puppies was enough and to be honest worth the low cost visitor price.  We spent each evening in The Highwayman pub in Sheriff Hutton just a six minute walk away from our cottage.  Food was lovely, great atmosphere and dog friendly so we went back on our second night.

Day 2 - Castle Howard or some of you will know it as Cliveson from Bridgerton or from Brideshead Revisited.  What a place to spend a day, gardens are stunning, dog friendly cafe and the audio house tour was amazing.  Castle Howard had things for everyone, accessible, great views and a massive children's playground.

My memorable moment was the gardens, the walled garden especially makes you feel like you could travel back and imagine growing up in a place as special as that.

Samoa: A jungle adventure to remember

Our absolute favorite destination on our world cruise has to be Samoa! It was an incredible adventure, especially trekking through the lush jungle to find the Survivor Pole. The natural beauty and the thrill of discovery made this island unforgettable. If you're a good walker looking for something entirely off the beaten track, make sure to explore O Le Pupa Pu'e National Park.

New Zealand and Australia: Southern Hemisphere splendor

New Zealand and Australia truly are gorgeous countries. In New Zealand, don't miss Taruanga and the stunning Waiheke Island. As for Australia, Sydney offers iconic sights, Hamilton Island is a slice of paradise, and Uluru provides a profound cultural experience. We've gathered tips to make your visit to these incredible locations even better!

Uluru insights and Singapore connections

While Uluru is magnificent, our experience taught us not to stay for more than two nights due to the intense heat and limited activities beyond the rock and stargazing. A great tip? Segway around the base of Uluru – it provides a refreshing breeze and a guide will share captivating stories as you go. And of course, Singapore holds a special place in our hearts, especially with my brother and sister-in-law living there!
